This keyboard is absolutely gorgeous right down to the packaging it comes in. The key clicks are a little loud but thats something I don’t mind. I love that they send additional keycaps so you can somewhat change the look of your keyboard at any time. Overall, 10/10.
As with the other Lord of the Rings keyboards it does look quiet nice, but they keycaps just seem lower quality compared to the other. Granted this may be because I'm used to the MT3 profile. The keycap set is also less than the ones included with the other keyboards, so I leaves me feeling that this keyboard should be a bit cheaper.
Solid Frame and Great Look. Switches a Little Stiff
I was pleasantly surprised by the heavy weight and solid feeling of the frame. I am a huge fan of the key caps and details on the frame itself. The keys take a little more force to press and are louder than other keyboards I have used. Initially this gives a slightly stiff feeling, but after a few weeks of typing it feels better. Granted these comparisons are to mechanical keyboards with lubed switches that I've used in the past. Overall, this keyboard is still a great buy for any LoTR fan, and it goes great with the Rohan desk mats.
I finally decided to stop buying the 20 buck logitech keyboards and invest in a decent keyboard, I saw an ad on Instagram for a cool-looking LOTR keyboard and thought I'd take a look. I was SHOCKED at the price at first, I hadn't ever paid that much for any of my accessories. That was until I looked into it more and realized that this was the real deal. I went ahead and figured I'd purchase it as a test to see if this sort of mechanical keyboard was really worth the hype. And IT IS. I've been using it for a week now and I love it. I'm really pleased with it. I don't have any technical insight or years of user experience, but coming from someone that works a 9-5 and just likes LOTR and gaming when I get home from a long day, I'm very pleased I got to nerd out on such a great keyboard. Thank you!
I have been running a Razer Huntsman Mini, and I gotta say it is so nice not having to hear those annoying clicky switches. This keyboard is beautifully crafted to fit my Lord of the Rings inspired desk!
Love the build quality and design (I've gotten lots of compliments). Wish there was an integrated numpad (or maybe at least matching keycap set) though. Inconsistent LED shine through the keycaps (especially the colored enter/space bar) means I never have the LEDs on, but that's ok.
Good feel and construction, lackluster lighting and shine through
Nice aluminum base gives it a heavier weight and a more premium feel. I really like the design on the plastic top case, just wish it was aluminum. Sounds and feels good. However, the lighting is dim even on the max setting, and the keycaps don't allow a ton of light through them, so only the top of the keycaps are lit. This just doesn't look good to me, and is especially apparent on the beige/tan keycaps which are included as extras, as they turn the light into a more saturated orange color. See pictures for max lighting and all the keycaps included with this keyboard.
I like the portability of a laptop but hate a flat keyboard so this keyboard works very well for me. And it's Lord of the Rings themed which are some of my all time favorite comfort movies!
The board is gorgeous but is a bit loud to my liking and it being a ENTR frame I cannot remove the switches to lube them.
Keycaps are more translucent than I imagined.
