SolomonRThat's ABS Doubleshot backlit not Vortex PBT backlit. You can tell with the caps flipped over. Better off buying an IKBC MF108 aluminum Mk w/ Vortex PBT Keycaps SMD RGB & over 5 lbs of aluminum. Which was dropped a little while back. Also in stock on Amazon in silver and black 108 layout models available in mx red, black, blue, and brown For $169.99 - Keyword "MF108".
HikasakiYeah, I picked up the IKBC MF108 with the CNC aluminum case here on Massdrop (not the last drop, but the one before), and I think it went for ~$159. It is such a nice keyboard! After getting some clear o-rings it is just the most amazing feeling keyboard to type on (I got it with Cherry MX Blues). I attribute a lot of that feel to the immovability of the keyboard. It is as if it is a part of the desk, and you feel it when typing because it doesn't have the slightest bit of flex or wobble.
I guess IKBC was just able to find a way of milling their aluminum cases for far less than Ducky was. I understand that Ducky is a respected MK company (I haven't had a chance to try out one of their keyboards, yet), but I'm not sure the name is worth the extra money. I'm sure that this keyboard will be of good quality, but the MF108 is not lacking in quality in the slightest, either.
If I didn't know of the MF108 I might not think this was a bad deal, but IKBC has already done this keyboard better, and for around $30 less.
