Has anyone ever received a delivery on time from Massdrop? Emailing customer service got me a referral to the "[your item is late and we will let you know]" email that gave no information. Pressing on the actual reason this was delayed got me a runaround response.
@Massdrop -- if you provided even an ounce of transparency it would go a long way. If it's going to be two months until I receive an item when it was estimated at one month, tell us why. There has to be a reason, and revealing that reason would go a long way to retain customers you are ultimately going to lose if these types of things keep happening.

crawford.451Ditto, they need to hire someone competent enough to at least realize all we need is a tidbit to keep us in the loop. Instead they look like uncaring (incompetent) jerks that don't feel we deserve any updates at all. This incident only adds to the badwill growing with my experiences at massdrop. Very disappointing.

I know plenty of people will complain about this being a knock-off etc, but i think its great MD is selling those.
First of, nautilus was available 4 months ago.If you want them today, you cant get them. Secondly, even if they were available today, i dont think they would eat much of each others business. Those who drops $40 vs +100 are very different consumers.
When nautilus finally ships, it will cost +180 on mechmarket. A lot of people missed out and not everyone is dropping hundreds of dollars on keycaps.
I think its a good opportunity for more people to enjoy the beautiful nautilus themed colorway for a great price.

I see a lot of comments saying this is a Nautilus knock-off - and I can understand why - the colorways are pretty similar. However, while similar at first glance, these sets are really quite distinct.
Here are some differences:
- Horizon is PBT, Nautilus is ABS - Horizon is OEM profile, Nautilus is Cherry profile - Horizon has much darker Navy modifiers than Nautilus - Horizon has lighter, cooler (as in color "temperature") cobalt blue alpha keys than Nautilus - Horizon's modifier legends are yellow-orange (like an orange fruit), the ones on Nautilus are a true yellow (like a lemon or banana) - Horizon has greater contrast between alphas and modifiers than Nautilus - Horizon's legends are lower contrast than Nautilus - Horizon's letters are top-center, the ones on Nautilus are top-left - Horizon's legends are smaller - Horizon has a few options in terms of alternative keys, but Nautilus has many more options - Horizon costs much less

fkncbe real, his analysis is spot on. People are acting like all the colors in the nautilus scheme are actually new trademarked colors when obviously they are not, nor were they directly ripped, its still distinctly different. As critical as good colors are they are also just the cherry on the top of a product that is very nuanced so of course companies will put out versions in any popular scheme, and for massdrop to ask to work together on one that they think is in demand in their community, well, I think thats in the mission statement...

KeyboardKowboyI contacted support, said they are waiting for the order to be fulfilled. I pressed them for more info but got no response. I'd take the refund if it didn't mean Massdrop got a 2 month free loan from me. At this point I'm just going to pester customer service as much as possible until I get more information.

So... do we have to pay extra to get updates on this drop? It’s been a few weeks and not a single word from massdrop. If this was a custom set/new set I would understand, but it comes standard on Ducky keyboards, so the stock must be there, no?
