Ducky wanted the community and Matt30 to design the next special edition Ducky Shine 4 with the stipulation that the keyboard would have multiple switches. After some brainstorming on Geekhack and Deskthority, and a poll, the Silent Feeler layout with Cherry MX Clears and Cherry MX Browns was the winner.
Note: At check-out, you have your choice of Laser Engraved Blue and Grey PBT Keycaps or Blank Blue and Grey PBT Keycaps. This drop is limited to 500 units.
Ducky sweetened the special edition with the very popular Blue and Grey PBT keycaps that have won several different polls on Massdrop. These keycaps are made from PBT plastic and every keycap features extreme durability, an unbeatable finger feel, and a high resistance to solvents.
The Special Community Edition comes with all the features of a Ducky Shine 4 including N-Key Rollover, 1000Hz polling, USB acceleration, and dual Blue and Red LEDs. A dual layer PCB adds durability to the keyboard and when paired with the steel backplate the board has an overall firmer feel and form. An ARM M3 microcontroller provides backlighting effects with 11 different preprogrammed modes to choose from.
