The Mech Keys Community can be tough to please. But when it called for a backlit version of the popular Durgod K320 TKL keyboard, Durgod delivered Read More
I got my Durgod about two weeks ago and I could not be happier.
It showed up in a nice tight box, with a plastic cover over the board. Inside of the box was an instruction manual. the keyboard, and two cables. One cable was a short (maybe 1.5'-2') C-type to C-type, the other was a longer (3' I think) C-type to USB-A cable. The cable fits right into the back of the keyboard with a nice sturdy snap to let you know it's in there.
The key caps are well made and sturdy, they don't feel cheap at all which was a concern that I had for a $100 keyboard. They just feel good on the fingertips and make me want to keep typing.
The lighting works well, is easy to configure, and looks great. One of the issues I typically have with RGB back-lighting is that pastel colors tend to look really washed out. On this keyboard, however, every single color I have thrown at it has looked sublime. My Corsair K95 and Strafe RGB cannot hold up to the lighting on this keyboard, and it cost almost half the price.
I paired mine with the Cherry MX Blue switches and they perform exactly how they should. They are noticeably louder on this keyboard, but I believe this to be due to the seemingly solid build materials.
All in all, I am very pleased with my purchase and will be getting another Durgod in the future.
9/10 would recommend.
Just got mine. Looks, feels, and sounds great!
One minor issue, however, is that some of the keycaps have some dark discolouration in the light plastic underneath, which is visible as dark patches in the way the light shines through. Example attached.
Is anyone else seeing the same?
futureboyI have noticed the same issue, but it doesn't affect how I feel about the keyboard.
I think this is a common problem that a lot of keycaps tend to have.
This would be amazing- except for whatever reason there is no green. I'm actually genuinely confused why there was all this effort into a clearly very pretty RB balance but left out the G, all that does is limit the options available to the consumer. It's not interesting or unique, its just a lacking feature.
Orion_HuntsmanI read between the lines and saw the shipping date as an estimate. Seems reasonable that it would come quicker, but it's likely factoring in some risk with manufacturing.
I've been looking for a unique keyboard without spending $500 on building my own mechanical keyboard. I love mech keyboards, but not enough to invest that much in to a pet project. This looks absolutely amazing - thank you for sharing your passion with the rest of us!
