david.goodger@david.goodger is that your ErogoDox in the picture? If so, is that the new drop 4 aluminium top plate? And what are you using for tenting there - some sort of foam? Nice!

benjennings@benjennings - Yes, that's my ErgoDox at my standing desk. Yes, those are the aluminum top plates, and I believe the drop was number 4 -- it's the one that wrapped orders at the end of August and recently delivered. For tenting I'm using some packing foam from a laptop. It's temporary; I'd like to make a permanent base and wrist rests, maybe with laser-cut acrylic or hardware (e.g. long M3 bolts & standoffs), or maybe Lego :-)
Actually, that raises an interesting point: what are people doing for tenting bases & wrist rests? Any plans to share?

david.goodgerLots of people recommend the Kinesis Freestyle v3 Accessory Kit (lifters). They go in 5, 10, and 15 degree intervals.
To buy: Manufacturer: http://www.kinesis-ergo.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=KS&Product_Code=AC730-blk&Category_Code=F2KBDPC Amazon US: http://www.amazon.com/Kinesis-Corporation-Ac730-blk-Freestyle-Accessory/dp/B003F8MDPY Cheapest I could find in Canada: http://www.shoprbc.com/ca/shop/product_details.php?pid=80162 (took 1 day after ordering to get to Ottawa)
Examples: Some people attach with Velcro, some by modifying the case. I prefer the idea of Velcro so that I can remove them for easy portability. See relevant Geekhack posts: Detailed post #1: http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=46087.msg1000838#msg1000838 Detailed post #2 (note that these are bigger lifters for a different model): http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=42231.msg854639#msg854639 Another user of this setup: http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=42772.msg932713#msg932713
PS: I was in the last buy, so I obviously don't have my kit yet. I'm just prepared :)

david.goodger@david.goodger I was thinking of the Kinesis v3 as well - I'm currently using them on a Freestyle and the work well. Looks like @morinted beat me to the punch with all the handy links! If you're thinking wrist rests, you might want to look at the ErgoDocks thread:
