Update on the drop status of the ErgoDox drop.
For the previous drop (for participating members whose transaction ID starts with MD-359). ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Finally, Cherry MX Red switches are sourced, paid for, and on its way. These are coming in from Asia, so given that it's busy shipping season and the fact that the shipment will need to pass three customs (China -> HK -> USA), it'll take a bit longer than usual. Will update once we get them.
We are stilling waiting for the fully assembled PCB, based on our last sync up with our contract manufacture, we are still one week away from shipping. Will update once they are on their way here.
Again, the supply for Cherry MX Red is still the major gating block that prevent some of the orders to be shipped. We welcome anyone that want to change out of their Cherry MX Red, in most cases, orders with other switch colors (blue/clear/black) can be shipped out immediately. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
For the drop that just ended (for participating members whose transaction ID starts with MD-628): ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - Teensy Board: Received - Electronic Components: SJ-43514 (audio jack) and FS-4CT-02-MM (Audio Cable) are still in backorder status. But all other components have already arrived. - Cherry MX Black: Partially arrived - Cherry MX Blue: Partially arrived, lead-time: 3-5 weeks for the rest - Cherry MX Clear: Partially arrived, lead-time for remaining: 3-5 weeks - Acrylic Cases: Ordered, production completed by Dec. 25. - Aluminum top plate: Ordered, completed by Dec. 25. - PCB: Ordered, completed by Dec. 31. - Keycaps: Ordered, completed by Dec. 22 - Nuts/bolts: Ordered, shipped by Dec. 25
There are just a few components that we need to sourced, otherwise everything are moving along pretty nicely. We should be able to have these shipped out to everyone mid next month by the latest. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
