So doing a little bit of research, in an attempt to just go ahead and construct a new ergodox sans massdrop (simply because I got tired of waiting) I found myself easily able to source all parts save for the TRRS connector. This is out of stock at Digikey until Febuary 17th.
I suspect this might be what is holding up the current kits.

challwhat did you end up doing about a case? that's been the hardest thing to find in my experience.

challI suspect that Massdrop also has the challenge of sourcing not just enough parts for one kit, but for several hundred kits, and at a price that allows them to still make a profit.
Something like a TRSS connector is a commodity. Cherry switches, on the other hand, come from just one company. At the start of the drop, they had indicated that switch supply was going to be a problem.
Having said all that, it's a shame that we're speculating about the delay, rather than getting a more fact-filled update.

challIf the TRRS connectors are the only issue, i'd prefer to get my kit without them than waiting for an one more month.

dstrelauI will admit, I have access to a laser cutter and sheets of acrylic, so I can source the case for practically nothing. :P Thinking of doing red acrylic for my next case.
