Here's an even easier way to tent your Ergodox. Just take a square block of foam and cut it into two triangular wedges. It leaves much to be desired for adjustability, but it works, it's quick, and it's cheap. I'm normally not a fan of tenting keyboards. I have the Kinesis v3 lifters with my Kinesis Freestyle and never found it comfortable in a tented position.
With the Ergodox, I seem to have more comfort and accuracy after tenting. Things just feel more natural and easier to reach. Before tenting, I found the Ergodox to be less ergonomically friendly for me because it was just too hard to hit the combination of keys that I need to hit, even after many adjustments to the keyboard layout to try different setups.
The pinky keys were my nemesis before tenting. I have this same problem on the Kinesis Advantage too, which is why mine spends most of its time in a box. Tenting really changes the experience of the Ergodox for me in a good way and I don't have small hands either.
