I think more of y'all need to cruise over and buy yourself a key-cap set, to help lower that price ;-)
jblack801@Jared Going by the polI, I think that a good portion of people were hoping for a DCS set and not DSA. So the fact that we're currently sitting at roughly half of the keyboard count seems about right. Even if we don't get to the minimum, it's still a good price. We're only talking a few dollars difference anyhow.
I think there are a number of people who think that the caps are included with the unit. This is what I thought at first, and it seems that they are not. Without some disclaimer about that, I wouldn't be surprised if there was some customer backlash. I would also like to see a picture of the finished product with all of the wires attached. I personally don't like having exposed wires, and it is hard to visualize.

There is nothing in the pictures/description that mentions having the keycaps included
Like Chris said, there's nothing anywhere in the description on the main page or build page to make people assume that there's key caps with it. Given that this is a DIY kit, and not a finished product, people buying one should read over what they're getting into very carefully before they buy in. Knowing what's included and what work is involved with assembly is critical on things like this. As for a picture with all the wires attached, it'll just be the two halves with a mini USB cable plugging into the center of the right hand top, and a TRRS cable (basically a 4 conductor male to male headphone cable) going from the top of the left hand to the top of the right hand. Any wired keyboard will have the USB cable aspect, and since this is a split design, you need a cable linking the two. The length of the TRRS cable, however, can be adjusted by either buying a shorter one or resizing a longer one yourself.
