You broke down and bought another monitor for your PC, but that stationary stand doesn’t exactly make room for a wide range of formations. For a monitor stand with a full range of motion that clamps easily to your desk, lock into an ErgoTech Freedom Arm and liberate yourself from computing limitations Read More
Hi guys. I own two of these monitor arms and a lot of you seem to have measurement questions and all that. Ask whatever here in the discussion and I'll try and sort you out. The documentation/reviews on these things are kind of scarce.
The boxes these arms come in are big and heavy as hell, I'm assuming that's why the shipping is crazy for those of you outside the US. I bought my freedom arms at another seller for not much more than Massdrop's current price. It's possible they might offer you a better shipping rate.
awi5951These arms dont droop. If that product works for you thats great. However, what we are offering here is a far superior product to what you are comparing it to. I think I have shown enough evidence to back my claims about this product in the photos in this discussion.
I appreciate the work Massdrop does to to research community interests, make niche products available to us and negotiate deals so we can even save money at the end. It's what brought and keeps me shopping here. So when there's a drop like this where I can easily and probably more conveniently make the same purchase from somewhere like amazon, I'm confused as to why such drops are made at all.
The lowest price here plus shipping to the US adds up to basically the same as what amazon is listing.

J0n3The resellers on amazon for ergotech freedom arms are sketchy at best. I attempted purchase of one a while back. The page made no mention that the freedom arm was out of stock. The wait or this products turned into weeks and months after contacting them. I ended up just canceling my order. That was just my experience. Hopefully yours will be different.
There seems to be a lot of complaints in this thread about the cost. I saw this drop pop up before and missed out, I don't know how much value it is to purchase one of them. I purchased 2 at a rough 120 rounded subtotal, 11 bucks of tax, it was 20 bucks to ship (CA), they came in a huge ass box. Everything was delivered as described, packaged well, I am completely satisfied. I unfortunately unlike a lot of you here don't have all day to scour the internet for the hottest deals on monitor arms to decide whos to buy so I can save 10 bucks. It was a good price, still cheaper than the single monitor arm I already had, and more functional, aesthetic, and even more sturdy.
How is that ok? Their solution is to just not ship to anywhere but the US? They even bumped up the shipping price for the US, so I guess the international shipping was initially sponsoring the US shipping?
I would expect a more honest approach. Very disappointing.
Can we order a whole fucking container to Europe? We should have our own drop and if there is enough intrest there should be an container shipped. Thoughts? I think it's possible since there is a lot of intrest in this arm.
ompenThat isn't really a bad idea, but what you're asking for is for Massdrop to open up a distribution center somewhere in Europe, and I don't know if the economics of that make any sense to them. I doubt anyone from Massdrop will ever talk about the minimum requirements to make this viable, but I'm pretty sure it's something that has been brought up at some point.
