Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

It's hard for me to recommend the X00s when the much better TH-900s (hi-fi) are available for $1,000 - $1,200.
The TH-900 is a hi-fi product. I'm sorry. I know there is this misguided meme amongst the Reddit crowd to pretend that the TH-X00 is just a slightly stepped down TH-900 so you guys can pretend to be into hi-fi at $400....but it just isn't the case.
The TH-X00 isn't just a slightly stepped down TH-900. They're both heavily colored mid-fi options tuned for a specific taste. This isn't debatable as it's been proven in measurements. Don't make the common mistake of confusing accuracy with enjoyment.
Sound as many things in life is a matter of preference. How a recording is supposed to sound like, nobody knows. All recordings has colorations imposed by the humans behind the consoles, and the transductores used for the recording, and acoustics of the venue or studio, so it all comes to, I like this one, better than that.
The TH-X00 is basically a TH-600 with, yes, a little different tuning, cosmetic cups and a cheaper price for Massdrop.
The TH-900, however, isn't just a TH-600 with different tuning. All three headphones share the bio-cellulose driver, but the TH-900 has a much more powerful magnet array, premium acoustic wood resin cups, ultra pure OFC cables, etc.
In terms of resolving power, the TH-900 is very strong competes with the HD800 -- which makes it one of the most resolving headphones period. In terms of soundstage, it has among the widest and most accurate imaging of any closed-back. Of course, the TH-900 is still entry-level in terms of hi-fi, but in the entry level field it is highly competitive.
You are wrong on that. Being a new headphone with more bell and whistles, does not make a headphone better, and to what extend you will hear the difference from 1 tesla to a 1.5 tesla, is debatable by a long shot, otherwise all manufacturers will use 1.5 tesla and bigger.... Cables, I will even go there, as I do not believe in cables, to me this is an scam to sell beauty to silly people, but both are OFC, indeed, there is no copper in audio nowadays that is not OF. Both uses wood cups, so no sure what the difference will be, as you may prefer one tone to the other.... About the grandpas in the headphone world, the HP-1000 from Grado is what, how many years old? And still hold a candle in many aspects, while we speak of headphones, (I do not like it either OK?) The MDR-R10 is probably the best dynamic headphone I have ever heard, and is from the 80's....Sony had failed miserably in getting that glorious sound back. The HD650 and 600, and even 580, are hi-fi, by a big shot, Ultrasone editions are hi-fi, hi Beyers are hi-fi, and has nothing to do with price.... Now I agree that you may find better out there, or at least ones that you may like better.
WTB what is Reddit????
I was active part of head-fi when the 650 hit the market, and there was a lot of argument about that, I was one of the main detractors, and still am but not liking one thing does not make it bad...Senns to me is just the Orpheus, period...but they are detailed, balanced, and euphonic for some kind of music, classical among them...I'm a rocker, so for me they are banned...LOL...
BTW is there any place to get the user manual of the TH-X00, the 900 is on the webpage, but the 600 is not....nor there is any place to order the pads from...contact service, but where the hell is the service phone email or whatever????
