Designed by Denis Simonutti, the man behind the Radius—Blade Show’s 2019 Overall Knife of the Year—the Fox Edge Atrax has a prehistoric look and a pure-bred work ethic. Compact and stout, the knife sports a modified wharncliffe blade with distinct cutouts Read More
After receiving my knife today, I'm pleased to confirm what @blade626 has been saying here. The documentation included with the knife links to http://foxknivesamericas.com/, which is mostly just a placeholder for the moment, but it has all of the same Fox branding you see at https://www.foxcutlery.com/. I'm very pleased with this budget knife, and knowing it came from a reputable manufacturer is a plus.
I still get the feeling that there is an affiliation . My guess is that this is branch of the Black Fox line . The Black Fox logo is incorporated in the FoxEdge logo . There should be a connection somewhere..right ?
This is going to be a dumb question but is there something special about the Geometric Blade other than the pattern or I am just thinking too much into it?

Fireman1669Im more concerned about what kind of coating they used lol but its probably better for cutting shapes.
At that price, the blade coating has to be as bad as the steel and probably paint.
It is an attractive knife, Fox is a good brand but I just dislike cheap quality knives.
The edges of the parts of the knife look awfully rough, like they were binned up and shaken around quite a bit prior to manufacture. The design itself I like. The steel is cheap but not godawful. 8Cr with a good heat treat can be a likable steel.
The two flip tabs and two apertures make it an interesting idea, the steel will require frequent edge maintenance so it's good that it's a simple edge to sharpen, looks like T6 and T8 connectors, high grip G10 that can bear some reprofiling...
This isn't a half bad project knife, is what it is in my books. If someone's been thinking about taking knives apart and modifying or improving them, there's a lot that can be done here and a lot of features for $30.
