So so happy i funded this garbage on Kickstarter to see it dropped for much less $$s.... this product kinda blows, better to look elsewhere guys... seriously.
I have one as a player not too bad, under powered for full size phones though. I too have the Hi400 and think they sound dull unless i add in a bit of amping.
Problem here is that there is no line out as yet. No dac out or at least not that I can get it to work. Did get it work with win7, win 10 is possible but you need to see hidizs website and follow a crap load of set up stages.
Wi fi and Bluetooth are functional but need work.
Basically I would only buy if you are looking for a nice player not as a dac or streaming device.
Would this be dac in from a phone or from a computor. Just curious because no one on thier forum has mentioned using it as a dac from a phone. Win7 requires downloading seperate drivers from Hidizs web site and it certainly is nothing special and not worth the bother. If you have managed to get working from an Andoid phone kudos to you because i could not.
DanAutoTechAhh, i have not tried from an external DAP or my iPhone yet! Just windows 7 and 10. But it was bad from the PC, so i can’t see there being any benifit for a phone. I use a Caymin c5 Dac/amp for my phone, or a portable amp on the AP200, for A sexond option
Hi all, got it from Indiegogo, sound Ok, but can't make it to work as a DAC on Windows 10. Driver unsigned, OS not stable as I get intermittent pauses in play mode using the audio out. So until they fix all these I am not going to recommend. Thanks
Dear customers,
Thank you for supporting Hidizs.
Please note the AP200 project here is not created by the official Hidizs company. We are currently in the process of contacting Massdrop and finding out who did this.
In order to protect your rights, we suggest you purchase Hidizs products from our official warranty channels.
Thanks,

HidizsSo, as a manufacturer you're trying to fix the prices? I hope MD will not give up to pressure.
Massdrop offers gray market merchandise all the time adding their own 1-2 years warranty and it's perfectly fine with me.
I'm not on this drop b/c I think the discount is too low for this particular group buy, but I'm considering this DAP as one of the options.
I own one of these. Bought it solely to listen to Tidal while commuting. I'm not into high end smartphones, so this actually suits me well.
The sound quality is good. The only issue is the unstable WiFi connection. Whenever downloading albums in Tidal, need to reconnect many times to complete download.
Unfortunately I did not give the sony nw-a45 sufficient time and decided to return it the same day. I'm a bit impatient. I just decided that I won't really be using it enough to justify the cost and the hassle of carrying another handheld device. But VERY COOL SONGS! sorry I wasn't able to test your songs on the nw-a45.
Well I completely feel you there bro! If your phone suits your needs as is, then no reason to carry around another device!
I just got the Walkman around Christmas because I have been Recording HQ 24bit stuff since 2006, and was just streaming mp3's through Google Play on my Pixel phone, and wasn't taking advantage of my hi resolution Recordings.
But I absolutely LOVE the Sony NW-A35 Walkman>Westone UM Pro 30 IEM's. The sound is unreal and scares me how good it sounds! Takes me RIGHT back to the show/concert and has awesome details, clarity and resolution across the whole frequency spectrum!
And I just upgraded MMCX Cables to a brand new Linum Bax MMCX Cable Straight from the UK/Denmark, and now my setup sounds even better, which I really didn't think was possible LoL 😁
I got my from the Kick-starter campaign. Editing my initial post that were far too generous than this piece of crap deserves. The device has bad connectivity, WiFi and bluetooth. Problems with finding songs from SD card. Sluggish as hell, losing contact, poor input control via the really bad touch screen. Don't buy this - go to kickstarter.com and read up on the many problems that people have with their players there. No support and no help at all.
samhithI've also V20 and considering to get a dedicated player. Do you have any experience with midrange DAP's with Android other than this one? Is it worth to get one even I own LG V20?
derzulyai dont but more things to charge and carry don’t make sense to me. unless your headphones dont sound good on your v20 ( something high end) i personally think its a waste of money .
