Theroc@Theroc : You mean you can buy 8 of these pens for 1 Pelikan 1000? Sure but the Pelikan is a better pen. Sadly Pelikan 1000 used to offer BBB Oblique nibs but no longer does since last year. An Italic is offered by Pelikan in the 800 line and also in the 200 line, one gold, one steel. A better comparison would be between this pen and Pelikan 200 series.
djringjrThere is no question that the M1000 is the better pen. What is debatable, however, is whether it is better than 8 Churchmans (Churchmen), each with a different nib. In any case, I felt inclined to post the above because, to the uninitiated, the two pens seem very much alike. A comparison between the two pens was never on my mind.
