Italix Churchman's Prescriptor Fountain Pen
Brass Body, Piano-Lacquer Finish
Weighing nearly 2 ounces and measuring more than 14 centimeters, the Churchman’s Prescriptor is decidedly large. But there’s nothing clunky or inelegant about this fountain pen by Italix. The tapered brass body features a brilliant piano-lacquer finish, while the cap band, pocket clip, finial, and endcap are plated in gold. Available in a variety of sizes, the two-tone nib features an engraving of the Italix name. The screw-on cap, which is fitted with a tapered pocket clip and an Italix-engraved band, isn’t meant to be posted.

Specialty Nibs
Plated in gold, the two-tone German-made nib is adjusted, reground, adapted, polished, and dry-tested by Italix in England. It offers a wet, skip-resistant writing experience, and it comes in a variety of options. In addition to fine, medium, and broad nibs, the company offers italic, cursive stub, oblique, and italic oblique nibs. And for those in search of more line variation, the 18-karat gold nib delivers a bit of springy flex.

Note: If you search online, you may find conflicting descriptions about these nib types. Some of these are based on a misunderstanding, because the nib in such cases is being viewed from the back. We show the nib from the front. If you look at the back of the nib where the feed is, a left oblique will slant downwards from left to right, as is meant for right-handed people, while the right oblique will slant downwards from right to left, and is meant for left-handed people.
