Weighing nearly 2 ounces and measuring more than 14 centimeters, the Churchman’s Prescriptor is decidedly large. But there’s nothing clunky or inelegant about this fountain pen by Italix Read More
The pen build quality is extremely good. With the cap on it feel out of balance but when in use the pen is very balanced and pleasant to use. The cap thread is a bit loose but when the cap is tight then is stable. Please be sure that you read about the nib option on Mr. Pen's site. In general the nibs are very wet so choose careful.
Despite the fact that it looks big when caped, in use I will say that is a normal size and weight.
The "secret" to using this rather heavy pen is to actually use it posted. The cap clicks into place. I normally don't post my pens. But due to the fact that the section is nearly non-existent, I understand why they made the pen to post by using a mechanism to secure the cap to the barrel.

For the money, it's tough to go wrong with this pen. I just won't use it for extended writing sessions. It's too heavy for that, at least for me.
I purchased the broad italic oblique nib, the nib was not ground well as it had a sharp burr. The burr kept ripping into the paper. The overall pen quality seems nice, but the nib made the pen not usable. I purchased this to address envelopes and write small notes on cards. Could not do with the nib as shipped.
