Known for using traditional materials like wood, horn, and bone, Jesse Hemphill began making knives in 1987 with a background in ornamental blacksmithing. Thirty years later, this piece is a testament to his workmanship and talent. At nearly 9 inches long and over 5 ounces, the Town Creek fixed blade is a force to be reckoned with in the wilderness or on duty. The 4.25-inch blade is made from A-2 tool steel, known for its toughness and dimensional stability. At the base of the blade is a handsome brass guard, helping to hold together the handle, which is available in four materials. Wider than most, the handle fills the hand nicely for a secure grip in the rain, heat, or cold. When you’re on the go, pop the knife into the included leather belt sheath.
Note: At checkout, choose a handle from black micarta, antique ivory (+ $9), green canvas (+ $9), and curly maple (+ $18).
