Hi MassDrop Team,
This is Dylan, with Juiced Systems.
I can clarify some questions for everyone. The Gigabit LAN port is to provide more of a "Micro Dock" for some of the non LAN supported laptops out there.
The hub is 6+1+1 - 6 ports USB 3.0, 1 port for dedicated charging, 1 Gigabit Ethernet port. (Mass drop changed the name to "8-port Hub" for SEO purposes? Not exactly sure...
What makes this hub really unique is the smart chip in the hub. The hub knows when the USB data cable is not connected, and dedicates full power to any port that is being utilized. USB 3.0 ports usually only carry a max of 900mAH, the smart chip is able to change the data ports into a dedicated charging ports.
This hub will work with Apple, and the USB 3.0 Drivers will be posted shortly on the product page on the Juiced Systems website for reference.

JuicedSystemsHey Dylan, thanks for dropping by and answering some questions.
As you said, the renaming is just to help our naming/search system. It's not the biggest fan of symbols like '+' and sometimes throws a fit. I can probably change the page title though if you think it would help a little with confusion.
edit: I went ahead and changed it. It's confusing not having that info up front.
