Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

The manufacturer is an active participant here. Why, I ask Massdrop agents, is it so impossible for you to have talks with the vendor before or during the drop to discuss availability, and post ACCURATE/TRUTHFUL ship estimates?
This is not just an annoyance. This can very truly result in the item shipped to an address either get stolen, or damaged by weather.
I split my time between two homes, spending 1 to 3 weeks at each at a time. I go by the estimated ship date to determine which address to ship something to. That choice needs to be made when one commits to the buy. And cannot be changed after the drop ends. So I choose the address I know I'll be at over the week following the estimated ship date.
If that date then is changed adding two or three weeks, I may be at my other address at that time. Then when the item is delivered, it can sit outside getting rained on or stolen over the week to two or three it is sitting there.
I buy from Massdrop to save money. I can deal with the wait for a drop to end; that date it reliable, or shorter if the quantity max is met. I do not however have the patience or ability for ship dates to be extended many weeks beyond the original time provided on the drop, as I experience in large proportion of the drops I join (I don't expect or accept estimates to be so bad, off by 2 to 3 weeks so often). Have the courtesy to have all your ducks in a row and get the vendor to join as an active participant in fulfilling the drop. So that estimated ship dates aren't just a baseless guess, like a blindfolded dart thrown at a calendar.
I can tell you in this case for this item, when it finally is delivered to the address I chose to ship it to, it will be sitting out front for an undetermined amount of time. And the only reason it is going to that address is that the original ship date was last week! (I thought I changed it to my other address but am dismayed having just looked at my transaction I did not change it).
