Good option for when you always have to have your keys and a backup utility knife on your person at all times. It is a light weight and compact package that can be discreetly concealed on your belt with a low rise clip from Key Bar. Personally I chose to add a bottle opener/flat head screwdriver and comb. It kind of reminds me of a swiss army knife but with keys and whatever tools you decide to equip it with.
One of the better buys I've had on this site. This design is primo and really hit me once I carried it, even WITHOUT any keybar! Just a slick bit all on it's own. And this is coming from someone who typically only carries slightly larger pocket clip knives, not a pocket floater. I'd like to purchase another actually. Understated simplicity.
This is a cool little knife, but it's more of a novelty to me. The design is great, ist very slim and it's pretty amazing they were able to fit bearings in there for some good flipper action. That being said, putting it into a keybar makes it extremely bulky, especially if you also have more than a couple keys on it. I will say it is so small and light it might be good for people who don't need a hard use knife on backpacking trips and are looking to shave some ounces.
I love this addition to my KeyBar. I have shared several pictures as to how great it fits and functions in my KeyBar. I was worried that I'd be paying $100 for a gimmick but the thing really does turn my Keybar into a small framelock knife. I only carry two keys in a addition to a key fob link so I am still able to use the medium sized screws that come with the Keybar. The knife itself is small but still extremely smooth in opening and closing. It does come with a warning telling the owner not to disassemble as the bearings are not contained. That's said I find it very easy to clean with a standard air duster and a bit of nano lube to break up any dirt or dust that gets in there (and it will get in there). I purchased this to be a great addition to my KeyBar and while I was skeptical it would actually perform well it far surpassed my expectations. It's the one knife that is always on me, in almost any situation, everyday. For the most part all the other EDC, work knives and dress knives rotate between themselves. In that regard I could almost call this my favorite knife. In addition to the special edition titanium Keybar with the Marlin I absolutely love having this thing in my pocket everyday. I would not buy it to be my main EDC knife, but as an addition to my Keybar its great.
overall disappointed in this knife.
The finish is very poor, it looks like it was polished with a belt sander....
Im also disappointed in the blade lock, it usually fails to lock in place unless you push the lock bar into the blade.
On the bright side, it fits in the key bar perfectly.
A fun knife, but unless you have a very specific need for the form factor, I would not recommend it.
Fit and finish is superb, very good deployment. But first you have to be able to actuate the hard detent, and the flipper tab's gimping is aggressive, I have a small hand and I have trouble doing it. Nearly impossible to disassemble with bearing pivot = waiting for trouble to happen.
Ferrum Forge designs are good, and WE makes them great, but real world scenario are not the same for all. The Crux and Falcon remained best knife for money, but this knife is just a good concept, good execution, and not working well in real life.
Nice and slim design, manufacturing quality seems ok. Mostly no rough spots. Main dislike is it came with very strong smelling machine oil and took several washes to get rid of. A bit gritty but now seems ok after oiling and breaking in. Flips ok. Wish it was titanium.
Nice little knife. Purchased more for its novelty but actually had a few chances to use it. Sits in my Keybar. Titanium frame lock is a touch sticky, but good quality manufacturing and design, overall. It's a fun one!
