aleshwell it doesn't come with a manual, but basically gold screws go into the pcb. The pcb mounts to the top plate. Big screws connect bottom part to top part. The switches go in on the top
make sure you put your stabilizers on the pcb before you assemble it, and don't forget to flash the board
shaunsingh0207I figured out all of that, but how do I "flash the board"?
Because some of the keys sure are acting funny, and are hard to reassign with Karabiner Elements.
Also have no idea how to change lighting modes.
aleshYou may have already figured it out but I'll post anyway. Some people here have said that they flashed it with the VIA software. I found it easier to use the QMK toolbox.
I created a hex using the QMK configurator site. Make sure to choose DZ60 RGB V2 ANSI format. If you choose the normal DZ60 it sounds like it will brick the board.
Once you've got the hex, you can import it to QMK toolbox and choose the correct board there.
Hold backspace, space, and esc/tilda at the same time while plugging the board in. QMK toolbox will recognize the chipset and choose 'Flash'. The board will be flashed and will disconnect and reconnect with the new firmware installed.
I just realized you said you were using Karabiner so I assume you're on a Mac. I haven't flashed on a Mac but QMK Toolbox is available for install normally or via Brew at the bottom of this page: https://github.com/qmk/qmk_toolbox
IanTurner93I tried this a few times with no luck, but just now did it again and it worked! Not sure what I did different, and it sure is a daunting process the first time, but I seem to have a working keyboard now, yay.
BTW, the configurator shows the default layers, which makes it the only place I've found that explains how to modify the RGB.
IanTurner93Ian, I'm not sure I sufficiently thanked you for your help here. Not sure I would have gotten my keyboard working without this, and earlier today when I hit some weird key combination that borked my keyboard (!) I again referred to these instructions to re-flash and get it going again.
Cheers!
