I got a little sheet in my box that explains very simply how to reprogram the keys. Fn+Ctrl enters programming mode; while in this, Pn blinks. In programming mode, press a key, then the sequence of alternative keys to activate (up to 14), then press Pn to signify that you're finished with that key. When all done programming, press Fn+Ctrl again to exit programming mode. To actually use your programmed keys, press Fn+Right Shift to toggle into the programmable layer. The only keys that cannot be reprogrammed are Fn and Pn, IIRC, but there are DIP switches to interchange those keys with others if more comfortable. (Again, the sheet had all of the details.)
