A brief reflection and look at how far our community has come since joining. I’ve been in the mechanical keyboard hobby for a very long time. It started as a high school student’s search for a keyboard for writing novels back in the 2008-2009 school year. I thought I wanted to be an author and I felt I needed a keyboard that I could sit down to at my desk and just write. After researching, joining forums, and saving money, I made my first purchase in the hobby, a blank black Happy Hacking Keyboard Professional 2. I still own this keyboard and while it is heavily modded now, it remains one of my all-time favorites. There is a reason why I would never buy food, medicine, or water from Massdrop, CAUSE I m not going to get them quickly. But for things that I want, not need, and that no place else can source, I m fine with waiting for Massdrop.
This isn't brand loyalty to Massdrop either, if you or someone else starts up a company that does the exact same thing as MD but gets it to me on-time and quickly 100% of the time, I would gladly use your service.
In the meantime, its like I m trying to order a burger at McDonald's knowing exactly how unhealthy it is, but you come up to me while eating a burger yourself and complaining to me how disgusting McDonald's is.
