The reviews seem to be so mixed I stopped looking after half a minute's scrolling -_- (less extended on both ends of the spectrum, more extended in the treble, more crisp sound, too "calm" sounding, tuned for edm, bass is rolled off... all these in comparison with the porta pros)

Tips for modding: I thought these were a bit lacking in treble and far too exaggerated in upper/mid bass, so I ordered some Yaxi pads meant for the Porta Pros. While changing the pads, I also removed the foam between the driver and the exterior openings. They now are much more comfortable and sound a little better, especially in treble extension. Still need some EQ to get them where I like them as the bass just feels boomy and overpowering no matter what, it seems (this is coming from a Grado/Beyer/AKG fan so YMMV and all), but overall it's definitely an improvement. Will probably stick to KSC75 though as I just prefer the brighter/snappier sound. Edit: removing the foams might do more harm than good, it seems they keep the bass in check slightly. But these things still put out a crap-ton of bass regardless.

I'm old enough to remember when people bought headphones for how they sound, rather than how they look.

Seek help stranger. Seems you’re age is finally contributing heavily to whatever mental neurosis plagues you. Wonder what treatments existed “back in your day” for that.

Hey @OCBob you seem to know a lot of stuff. Does Koss sell an apple specific version of the K30? I like the pair I have but it does some whacky stuff like activating Siri randomly unless I take off the phone case.

Apple uses a different TRRS (Tip-Ring-Ring-Sleeve) wiring configuration in their phone and tablet jacks (I'm not sure about the computers/laptops) when compared to Android phones/PC's, Chromebooks and DAPs I've tried. This is where the problem you're having arises. The only Apple specific headphone they make (besides their Bluetooth models) is the Porta Pro KTC. https://www.koss.com/headphones/on-ear-headphones/porta-pro-ktc If you want to fix the issue you can try one of these adapters which removes the mic/remote channel, but you'll lose mic/remote function. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MV2PDCA/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 If the problem occurs only when you have the case on it may be restricting the plug from seating fully, but I've been able to replicate this issue with wife's iPhone even when I know the plug is fully seated in the jack with or without a case.

These have koss lifetime warranty. Why not just send to koss? 10 dollars shipping is less than 18 . . . Unless you're wanting a second pair to not be without them while you send the broken pair back.

How will these fit on a large head?

I consider my head to be larger than average, baseball caps always fit weird, and I use these at my computer for hours on end. Everyones head is different but I think between the amount of adjust-ability and the way the ear cups are in a sort of rubber suspension they should fit almost anyone.

I'd say they should fit pretty well. I have to max out the headband on some of my Koss headphones, but with these I only have to extend the headband about 3/8" on each side.

Am I the only one that thinks these are one of the ugliest headphones ever made? I don't doubt their performance per $ but damn these things are ugly. Like old plastic from 1980 that's been left out in the sun and gotten discolored.

Hah yeah when my friend saw them he choked on his coffee. He thinks they are butt ugly but I love the retro look! There is a dark grey and white version as well and they are more...subtle.

Look at them a bit longer and if you still do not like them do not buy them - simple as that...
