UzuzuYou misinterpreted my answer. What I meant to convey was that driving a $150 headphone with a $200 tube amplifier is over kill, especially when driving headphones such as the momentum which have low sensitivity.

SungEun_Choilmao well either way is bad, because low sensitivity doesn't mean you don't need a high dollar amp (though MKIII is cheap). Being easier to drive isn't equivalent to it being okay to have a worse amp or no amp at all, your amp should cost equal or more than your headphone(s)

SungEun_ChoiMaybe they are saving up for a better headphone. I drive my 4k BW speaker with a 700 AV receiver because I'm saving up. Adding a decent amp will most likely improve the sound as always
