Product Description
While many of the mice we feature here on Drop fit the bill as “Mech Keys approved”, it’s rare that there’s a mouse that aims to merge the two worlds in quite such an intentional fashion. Enter the LOFREE Touch PBT Wireless Mouse Read More

Does this not support a wired mode? I'd prefer to use this wired if possible.

Just to confirm for those interested: This mouse does NOT appear to use standard MX switches, and the keycaps used are custom for the mouse with an offset stem and no stabalizer - you *may* be able to replace them with 1u, 1.5u, or an offset Caps Lock, but a significant cutout is required to clear the oversized surround extending from the scroll wheel; and that's presuming the size of the stem is correct for receiving an MX keycap in the first place. So there is generally zero swapping happening on this thing, 'fELLoW mEcHeRs' hahaha. It's hardly more informative, but you can at least see some pictures that illustrate the above grumblings: lofree.co/products/lofree-touch-pbt-wireless-mouse?variant=44069849039067 I REALLY don't get why such normal considerations from the "Mech Keys" community aren't addressed by Drop, and why they aren't even considered by Lofree from the beginning in designing this thing. Like, sure, the idea of a "mech compatible" mouse is fun enough, but they mimicked the design and offered none of the modularity that is expected by default from enthusiasts. It's perfectly fine for Lofree to make this. It's always great when companies experiment and offer unique/playful takes in a bog-standard category! This is *yet again* example of a significant issue of Drop employing either zero standards in product copy for the enthusiasts they claim to know, or employing people that copy the same enthusiastic, non-informative blurbs to market products they know nothing about. I genuinely enjoy this place for the value of curating new and interesting things generally unfound by most, but typical practice of uninformative descriptions and images really do make it feel like there's static between everyone along the way of communication from manufacturers to organizers to publishing. As much as I've bellyached about this, Drop could benefit from hiring me as consult to help review/improve their listing so I'll finally shut up 😘

Call me crazy, but this is the sexiest mouse I have ever bore witness on! Just the thought of linear long travel keyboard feel in a mouse is so enticing to me. Not to mention the design - it's so bauhaus, but in a tasteful polystyrene way.

"this mouse will work with any MX-stem-compatible keycap that fits the slot" Sureeeee, if by "any that fits the slot" you mean keycaps made specifically for the wheel bumps and the spacing needed because of the awkward MX stem positioning, then by all means, this fits ANY KEYSET /s This entire thing is an experiment in futility. Theres a reason why more companies arent doing this exact thing. Almost fraudulent to call this MX Compatible just because it has MX STEMS. What even is the point of this damn thing?

I love the way this mouse looks but as you can see from the image above which shows the side they seem to be deliberately hiding in the product photos, there is a bunch of ugly random text on one side. All of the random text and logos engraved or screen printed all over the mouse are a deal breaker for me. They absolutely ruin the look.

DarthbagginsYeah? Were you ready to main a chunkytall lump weighing over 100 grams? Got excited for doing some sweet ultra-comp flick shots with the bottom shelf performance of the PAW3805 over Bluetooth? I get it, you kids are trained to 'hng' over specs, but this potato ain't for that. I mean, the thing has a 650mAH battery that only manages 75 hours of use, so this potato has some nasty inefficiency. But yeah, only passing because it doesn't poll at 1,000mhz, ok 😏

ClaridThat's cute, you assume I'm a kid. There are multiple mice over the 100g weight class people use on the regular games and not (G502, MX Master, G403/703 wireless). There are mice for less than run 1000hz + over b/t for less. Also this design isn't original, as there are people who have made mice that work off of MX switches for M1&M2 (can be seen on Geekhack forums).
