I've been waiting for this. :D This light fits perfectly in the elastic band on the side of my Leatherman Charge TTi sheath, the pocket clip holds it at the perfect height, and the 90 degree angle allows me to use it hands free. This is about $15 cheaper than purchasing it from CountyComm directly. In for one!

Got mine today. I thought it was going to be an AA light. So frustrating. I don't want to carry two types of batteries.

Can somebody from HQ please clarify whether this takes a AA or AAA battery? Either way, what is the spec'd voltage range? WIll it handle li-ion rechargables at 3.7V?

RShackIt takes AAA. I've been using Energizer and Amazon rechargeable batteries and they both work but they're Ni-MH.

RShackI believe I have used it with my EBL Li-ons. There is nothing on their website saying you can’t use high drain batteries in it, which is what you would expect to see if you couldn’t.

I agree with other posters...
There are so many contradictions between the pictures and the description that I shall NOT be joining this drop.
The pictures seem to be taken from County Comm, and the description over there states it to take a single AAA battery.
Bring on a brass or copper (or both) version, and I'll jump on it.

KeithisThat was exactly what I was thinking. Picture from County Comm.

Whoa! Confusing drop. Massdrop, please just make a Massdrop Made version of the MD light in the photo below with a 90 degree lens option and a AA with 90 degree lens option. Remember to use a High CRI LED, and include easy ways to attach it to a headband or the adjustment strap for a ball cap. Regarding the CC offering, a twist switch on a headlamp makes no sense. Why would I want a 2 hand switch on a hands free headlamp/personal flood?

That's with the titanium tail switch, I couldn't find my brass massdrop light at the moment which would look better obviously. It still cycles M-L-H

IanEDCIanEDC, Thank you. I will try it! Now if Maratac can just make a high CRI version of its personal flood light.

Confusing mix of pictures and descriptions.
Is this an AA light, or AAA light?

“Aluminum”? Are you sure?
The photos being used show the Copper and Brass versions which are made from solid billets. 🤔

I have this light in Copper. I love the design of this light. I just wish it came in a Nichia version. Don’t care for the unnatural blinding white light of Cree elements. As a result, I’m not using this much at all other than display. May end up selling it. 🤷🏻‍♂️

What's the CQC value of this tactical personal flood lamp? How many hostiles can I neutralize that infiltrate my apartment during a blackout resulting from refusal to pay my electricity bill?
