How about a version which has, inside, a small switch that sets the default mode. And also lets you change it so that it only ever operates at one of those modes. So those of us who want one brightness always, don't have to worry about flicking it on and off and having it keep changing modes. Most annoying!

Drizzt321This is where I have been MOST impressed with the UI on Olight flashlights. From off - Press-and-hold for low. Double-click to get to high/turbo. Single click to get to your previous mode.

Drizzt321It does have memory, so if you cycle it to your preferred mode, and then turn it off, and never cycle modes again, only that mode will activate. Just don't half-press the tail cap.

XenoMuseBut I DO use half presses to take a quick look/check something, and then release to shut off.

Drizzt321The light won't turn on from off with a half press.
