With the success of the Massdrop AAA and Vega flashlights, we knew our next flashlight had to be a knockout. But rather than go with a conventional step up in battery power, we wanted to offer something the EDC community could really make their own Read More

Has anybody had problems with RCR123 batteries popping their protection circuit with this light? Mine works fine with CR123 primaries but when I put Nitecore RCR123As in the light goes off after a minute or so on high beam. Are there recommendation for RCR123s that work?
So far, the tracking number comes up as invalid since it was placed into the transactions as shipped.
Two emails to support and not one response to explain if the item was shipped, only processed as a lable and not yet made or what?
After today and a call to my bank to stop payment, I will avoid using DROP for purchasing again.
There are better lights and better systems for purchasing and obtaining fixes for my flashlight obsession.
Aaaand not a single solitary photo of the (allegedly) titanium tailcap. In stock, but takes a month and a half to arrive? Why does it matter if it’s in stock if it won’t arrive till SPRING. 😒
Woo-Hoo! For only 60 beans you can own the world's tackiest flashlight, something the Fonz would envy. Think how the chicks will dig you as you slouch with with all those lumens at your disposal! They'll swoon at your feet as they wonder "Gee, is that a flashlight in your pocket?"
ScroogeMcDuckI gotta agree with you. The whole “modular construction” and “mix and match” bit is just silly when 90% of people will pick a single way to configure theirs and then leave it that way for the rest of its life.
TaniosI believe the answer to this question is technically yes, however, copper, brass, and bronze are at the same level on the cathode/anode scale, so it is literally your best case scenario for mixed metals. If you don't science: It should be fine.
Maybe only slightly less fine than one or the other alone, which will corrode in the environment alone.
This is a galvanic series chart. You can easily find better ones with actual numbers on them, but basically, if the metals are close together, you have little risk. If they are far apart, bad things will happen. Copper and brass are pretty similar metals, so it works out to be fine.
Drop- two questions: being an avowed Flashoholic, I have a jaundiced view of lights; why would 2 RCRs (16340) cells NOT increase output over standard CR123s?? Annnnd, any chance of building something similar in 18350 or, even better, 26350 cells for increased run times?
Another miss from whatever they call themselves this week. Had to get my last flashlight elsewhere and it looks like my next one also. Darn shame as they used to do a decent job of getting good stuff at a good price. I guess the new flavor of the day is "good enough"?
