if you are looking for an enjoyable headphone. One that is pleasant and pleasing to listen to after a long day at work, just get a pair of these. I have had mine since the end of 2016. I was able to jump into the original drop of the HD6xx. I have bought several other headphones throughout this time and I always ended up with these.
the 6xx lacks quantity in bass, but it does not lack quality. it has enough for genres like Jazz, not enough for other genres though. I am currently powering my 6xx through the Massdrop Liquid Carbon and it just such a beautiful pairing. There is zero fatigue. the liquid carbon adds a bit of umph on the bass too.
these are great headphones for vocals. Male & female
After almost 3 years of buying and selling headphones, these are still sitting on my desk, because I have not found a better value than these anywhere
From the painless ordering process to making sure that the product arrived on time professionally packaged, along with an invoice to the actual product itself - the HD 6XX - Wow! I have been listening to music for over 40 years and have never heard my music like this before. Little nuances that were never heard before come out here. Not like hearing it for the first time, but like hearing a different mix of the same song. Very impressive Drop, please give yourselves a big hand for making these beautiful headphones even more available for all to enjoy!
Open backs project sound both towards your ears and out the sides of the earpieces.
This makes the sound feel as if they are coming from further away. Good for replicating the directions of where each vocals and instruments are coming from; like at a concert. Close backs sound as if the music is coming from the centre of your head; you get less "directional" experience but they feel more intimate.
Open backs leak sound so if you are riding on public transport, the people sitting next to you might look at you sideways wonder why you are playing music for everyone around you.
Most high end headphones are open back so don't worry about losing any sound quality from the leakage!

Excellent Headphones
I've had these headphones for a few years now, I will say the cable they come with wore out after about a year and a half. I would suggest getting the OEM Sennheiser cable for the HD660's. The sound quality on the HD6XX is very solid and actually feels better balanced than the HD660's.

3 year ownership
Well, as I said, I have had mine for 3 years. I have Jotunheim 2 and Topping D70 DAC. Bought the DAC in 2019. I have ATH-WS11OOis, T40 and T50RP MK3, and the DT150. These are my go to. Awesome headphone. Well worth the 200 dollar asking price. Get a good DAC and a good amp to go with them. No need to spend 500 on a DAC. Just get one that measures well. I have a Monolith THX 887 headphone amp. I like the Jotunheim 2 better. I have balanced cable as well. Just get good equipment. HD6XX upscales well. Get good recordings. I have 16/44.1 FLAC and 24/96 FLAC. I also have CDs too. I listen to Metal. Five Finger Death Punch, Fear Factory, Black Sabbath, Korn, stuff like that. I buy my music. I don't stream. Movies, Anime it all sounds good. Just make sure you get a good DAC and Amp. Always remember, you put crap in, you get crap coming out. Just the way it is when you are getting up to the price range of these. 300 ohm needs a DAC/AMP or and amp to drive the drivers. Just like speakers need to be driven. Really just that simple. Don't want to pay? Then don't play.

Good sound - Lacking low bass
Overall very satisfied with this pair as my first quality headphones.
Using a focusrite as my amp to drive them to higher volumes.
Great for hearing details in gaming- footsteps, reloads, and so on.
They clamp a bit too hard for my liking, but they did get a bit better with time.

Beautiful sound, but slightly stiff fit
These are my first pair of headphones over $100 and they sound fantastic. I've played everything from classical to electronic music through them, and the tones and clarity are really great. Only think that I'm taking a star off for is the bulky, heavy, and stiff fit they offer. It's less than ideal for long listening sessions, especially when gaming. Other, cheaper cans that I've worn over-the-ear, almost disappear on my head due to their lightness. These feel big and bulky. The padding on the earcups is comfy but because it's attached to a heavy, clunky thing, the comfort factor drops considerably.
Excellent neutral sound, a bit on the warm side.
Not fatiguing even in long sessions, neither in terms of audio nor in terms of comfort.
Outstanding piece of equipment at an affordable price.
There's not much to be said about these more than what others have said. The sound in the price category is unmatched. The only two things I can say in a negative way (one of them being not so much a negative but one I see people say about these) is 1. The sub bass is very minimal and not prominent. 2. The clamping force on these is quite uncomfortable at first. I have jaw issues and am very particular about the kind of over hear headphones I use due to this. I had to do quite a bit "breaking-in" on these to make them usable for my head. Once I did that, the comfort is 5 stars. Just get these. I love them.

Best headphones for those who like clean sound
If you're looking for headphones that have a clean sound signature and don't emphasize the bass and treble. These are the ones for you.
Been always a fan of Sennheiser products and to me this is the endgame without splurging on really expensive cans.
They work really well without an amp but to really extract all it can do, you should pair it with an external amp. Personally using it with a Topping DX3 Pro+.
The only downside to it is the clamping on the head. It's a bit tight to my head and ends up denting a bit the top of the scalp if using them for extended periods of time.
My recommendation is to get a headphone stand that will hold the headphones like it was on your head. That way, the plastic will mold to it without having to bend the band and risking breaking it.
