Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

UPDATE: I received my headphones today! My serial is like 21XXX, so serials seem to be all over the place so far for people. Now to the stuff that matters... Expected delivery was this coming Saturday, so it arrived two days earlier than expected. I believe the delays people are seeing are not on Fed Ex as much as the post office.
The packaging was phenomenal! Very nice considering the discounted price of the headphones to not allow for crazy packaging. Some people are stating the headphones are black, but mine are very clearly the dark blue from the reviews I had seen. The clamping force is a little heavy but just even today, seems to be getting better and better.
The sound is oh so sweet! I am using a Magni 3 and Modi Uber to drive these and I can honestly say they blow my AudioTechnica M50s out of the water for sound. The vocals are crisp and clear. Mids sound full and don't seem to fall off even with bass heavy content. The bass is a little tight for now (I expect that with burn in they will loosen up some) but I don't feel that they are lacking bass unless you are a serious bass enthusiast. Width sounds pretty good to me, but not as wide as I had imagined (considering this is my first pair of open back headphones). Imaging seems to be near perfect to me, as I can hear sounds fade across in front of me from side to side with nearly no gaps perceived. Overall, these easily compete in many ways with my much more expensive Monitor Audio RS towers in my primary stereo.
I can't wait to see how they sound and fit in a few months time from use! This has my best recommendation for someone that works at a desk in a closed office or from home! Thanks Massdrop for making this happen and for getting these out to us earlier than expected!
