A suggestion for newbies audiophile wannabes: I purchased the 6xx and I'm extremely disappointed. Now I need to pay to ship them back from Canada, Taxes lost.... Mybae my ears are not ready, sopositaced enough but my sony wh-1000xm4 sound better to my ears. I wanted to like these so much and be wowed but no cigar. Your first purchase shouldn't be online. You should go to a proper audio store and spend some time with proper equipment which I did. The salesperson told me it's a process. He made me try a 2,500 german pair that didn't do anything for me then a 300 pair called GRADO that gave me goosebumps. It's very subjective and the rabbit hole is deep. It's up to you whether you buy from the store that invested time in educating you or then going online and buying what you like for cheaper but I think once I'm decided on my first equipment, I'll be willing to pay the extra retail cost and buy it from the store that let me just sit there for hours and listen. Reviews are overrated. Just my 2 cents.

A few questions to the community. I got the headset with the 02 + SDAC dac amp. The amp is connected by usb to to a docking station which is connected through USBC to my computer. As far as I understand, that the same as being connected to the computer directly. I did the usual recommended windows 10 settings. And I'm.listening to Spotify desktop and Tidal desktop hi Fi (even tried tried a few lossless hi res audio download.  I'm new to this kind of thing so take this with a grain of salt but so far I am not impressed. It's louder and the quality is good but I can hear more seperation and I get more goosebumps on my pixel buds a series. I feel like I'm missing something (listening time, breaking them in, different amp maybe different ears?). Any suggestions and recommendations?

Will the Qudelix be sufficient to drive this?

What is the Qudelix? If it’s an amp, does it have any power specs you could share?

I've had mine for years and the cable has started breaking. Is there a replacement that's the same length or longer as the only one I can see on here is too short

Sorry, I should have said. I need a 1/8 inch cable. Got one on the way now but I'm on my 3rd try so fingers crossed

I’m a big fan of Sennheiser’s 1/4” to 1/8” “ponytail” adapter, since both the cable and adapter are so cheap it might be worth considering as an option (so you’d have both kinds of plugs). However, here is the 1.8m Sennheiser cable with the 3.5mm plug (5.9 feet long, 1/8” plug): https://spares.sennheiser.com/en-us/catalog/sparepart/570679

I know how much these can be considered 'industry standard', but I LOVE these for mixing my projects I make in Logic Pro. They're so clear and revealing, more so than my AT Mx50's.

They were made for the studio! Specifically, for people who spend all day mixing, and might get fatigued by the higher treble sensitivity of the HD 600 (but close enough that, once you’re used to it, your brain actually knows when something sounds “normal” or too hot in the mix).

So it says that it's ready to ship. How many days will it take to reach New York?

Better question is how long before they actually ship

I believe the distribution center is in New Jersey? So, look for the shipping date in the “Details” section, and probably just a few days after that.

What kind of lightning - headphone converter do you use?

Yeah! I was just doing this last weekend :) You want to get Apple’s camera connection kit, the one with a male lightning plug on one end, and then a small block on the other end with female USB and Lightning ports on it. Then, you can use USB to pretty much any DAC/amp you want… I used this setup to feed my Sennheiser HDV 820 desktop amp when I got the chance to preview the HD 8XX! Also, make sure you go into your phone’s general settings app, scroll down to Music, and enable the lossless or lossless HiRes setting. It’s off by default :) https://music.apple.com/us/playlist/twitchy-toes-tunes/pl.u-7jGMt1gEN9

https://music.apple.com/us/playlist/hd-8xx-synergy-mixtape/pl.u-aeVDiXW2VK I’ve still gotta port my HD 650 playlist over from TIDAL 😅
