I've seen these in person & can confirm they're a great make. The last is shapely enough for odd jackets yet not incongruous with jeans - no small feat. This is from someone who hates dress shoes with jeans. HATES.
Also will say that those who are familiar with Alden's Aberdeen will find the toe box more accommodating. No need to size up if you fit their longwing.

Hello, I hope you can help me a little here. Unfortunately I am not familiar with the Aberdeen. But I wear a size 9D in a Barrie last and usually a size US 9.5 / UK 8.5 in other shoes. (Although I measure a 9.5D on the Bannock, I have a high instep and tend to feel strong pressure on my pinky toe). For some reason this conversion chart from AE seems to be completely off and now I'm not sure what size to order https://www.allenedmonds.com/shoes-101/sizefit.html Like I said, I usually wear a UK 8.5, but that would mean a US 9 according to AE. Would you recommend I go with a Size 9.5 D or a 9.5EEE or something else entirely? Thank you for your help in advance

I'd suggest a 9.5d. The chukkas accomodate high insteps. Unlike the Barrie, which runs a half size large, this particular AE last is true to size.

@UrbanComposition Thank you for the fast reply!! I will go with my usual US 9.5D in that case and ignore the weird AE conversion chart.

I would agree. You could maybe go for a wide size if you want to be sure you have lots of space, but since these are unlined there will be a bit more room to stretch than with a normal lined shoe.
