A collaboration with world-renowned headphone manufacturer Beyerdynamic, the DT 177X GO has the kind of German-made quality you can see, hear, and feel. Based on the DT 1770 PRO, it uses the latest generation of 45-millimeter Tesla drivers for a wide frequency range and a weighty, controlled bass. We smoothed the response slightly while retaining the punchy sound that’s made the DT 1770 PRO a favorite in recording studios. With 32-ohm impedance, it’s easy to drive from portable sources without an amp, while the office-friendly closed-back design ensures your music won’t disturb your neighbor—and vice versa. The four-pin mini-XLR connection allows compatibility with balanced cables. For unrivaled comfort, you’ll get two pairs of premium Dekoni earpads—one sheepskin and the other velour—totally free.

As soon as you pick up the DT 177X GO, you know you’re dealing with a different class of headphone. The DT 1770 PRO had to be sturdy to meet the demands of professional sound engineers, and this model boasts that exceptional build quality—from the painted aluminum ear cups to the spring steel headband to the metal yokes. Many parts are made or painted in the same factories used by German luxury automobile brands. Subtle color and texture updates make for a refined look, down to the new Beyerdynamic logo on the headband and the Massdrop-exclusive dark blue stitching. Want to take your setup up a notch? The cup connections accept balanced cables for improved noise rejection and additional power from portable balanced sources and amps like the Massdrop x Alex Cavalli Liquid Carbon X.
Elevating our DT 177X GO headphones to the next level of comfort are the included premium Dekoni sheepskin earpads. When worn, they provide a cushioned, enveloped feel for hours of fatigue-free listening, all while giving you enough isolation to enjoy your music without distractions. For listeners who wear glasses, they're far more comfortable than most other ear pads, too. Bundled together with the DT 177X GO and a pair of Dekoni velour earpads, these Dekoni sheepskin earpads are huge value available here at no extra cost.
Announced at CES 2018, the Drop + THX Achromatic Audio Amplifier (THX AAA™) 789 is a linear bipolar amplifier with feed-forward error correction. It’s designed for objectivists who appreciate an incredibly clean, transparent amp—the sought-after “wire with gain” whose amplification is wholly uncolored by a sound of its own. Made in collaboration with THX Ltd., it features the company’s groundbreaking THX AAA and feed-forward topology, which reduce distortion by 20 to 40 dB for realistic, fatigue-free listening. In fact, this bridged-output amp’s performance figures speak for themselves: It’s powerful (2 x 6W at 32 ohms) and quiet (136 dB SNR) with a record-low THD of -140 dB at 300 ohms, 100 mW. That’s four times the power of the Objective 2 amp, for example, with far less distortion.
All orders will be shipped by Drop.
