Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

And head-fi:s moewdawg140 has this to say about them as well. http://www.head-fi.org/products/fostex-th-x00-massdrop-exclusive/reviews/14608
You send a unit to this guy for review? You're serious? Don't care whether he likes the headphones or not, but i) the review is crap - the video is literally motion sickness induxing and ii) he has no idea what he talks about... "I though they changed the wood because they ran out of the light wood, but apparently each of the phone have different sound signature depending on the wood"
You must be out of your mind...
He is a lot like me. to give a good comparison I would compair him and me as a wine lover but not eduacated sommelier, I guess this goes for 90% of the people shopping here and also the reason why his review affects so much. But I do love to watch his reveiws.
Personally, I think having multiple opinions like that is perfectly fine, and actually exactly what I expect out of reviewers - opinions. How 'accurate' or relatable for you these opinions are personally will always depend on the reviewer in question, as well as how well your tastes match, which is something you have to figure out for each of them because perception and preferences are quite different.
For example, I have quite sensitive ears regarding certain types of treble, which'll come out when you ask me what I think on V-shaped headphones, since most of them are more fatiguing to me than others for daily use, due to them slightly exaggerating background static and S-sounds, which in turn I am more sensitive to. Similar things obviously apply to when or whether people perceive a signature as natural, neutral etc., not to mention that many older reviewers might've had quite a wild teenage life with discos and all, further making them have quite a different perception and focus on sound than I would, for example.
tl;dr Z is a guy with an opinion and preferences, as is everyone. While I wish he'd talk more about sound, I actually really appreciate that he goes more in-depth with build and feel, so that's something I've been missing with others. Tagging on like two to three minutes for FR curve interpretations or a more elaborate perception on strengths and weaknesses wouldn't hurt, but it's not a complete dealbreaker, because again, it's an impression and opinion piece.
