The KSC75 is a beautiful sounding headphones, however the connecting wires is very frail with constant usage.
How can you mod them to MMCX or 2 pin cable connection?
I didn't mod the connection type. I opened them up - very easy to do - and went down to the dollar store and got some resin/hardener glue and mixed some up. I put a bit of resin over the wires where they are soldered on and let it dry then reassembled. The resin is non conductive so it works well. Those wires are not coming off
Fine for weightlifting (all sorts), martial arts practice, stretching (even inversions for the most part), treadmill. Pretty much all I do. The KSC-75 has been my go to for the gym for 15 years now.
There technically "shouldn't" be since it's the same other than the color of the plastic and the wire is different and has microphone and button on the Drop version, but many people, including myself, do hear a difference, with the regular KSC75 sounding slightly better. Perhaps the thicker wire and lack of microphone and button allow for better audio signal? Either way, the difference is relatively minor. I would say that if you need the in-line mic, then get the Drop version and if you don't need/want the in-line mic and don't mind the silver color instead of black, then get the regular ones for possibly? better sound quality.
