If you have Android devices stay far away !! This company is purposely blocking Android devices !! You can not use the controls and mic functions on this device.

cyberslugApple has its own way of wiring for mic an buttons, Android (and other devices incl my Lumia phone) do it another way. It's not intentional blocking, just this company chose Apple compatibility first. I can understand the strategy - Apple customers tend to be willing to pay for quality and design so it's a safe bet to start there.

larsvThat's 100% NOT true for mics. I'm a IOS and Android developer. In general mic's work on any device, you have to purposely disable the mic for a certain devices. Controls are a different story but can be enabled for both IOS and Android !!

cyberslugAgreed - I was referring to controls but didn't state that properly.
larsvThats misinformation and Apple customers pay for the brand, not quality. A couple friends and family members are die hard apple users but they all end up having to drop off their phones to be fixed once every month or two.

ddddddddddddddddddddddI've been using iPhones for several years - currently 128 gb with thousands of music tracks, thousands of videos, documents, apps etc. - heavy use with charging twice a day - never had an issue in all those years, not even a battery problem.

dalethornThe point of all that is not about what's best or that a company would purposedly disable functionality, what it is: Apple is big enough to tell M&D , we will promote your product and people will be able to purchase it from our web site, enourmous visibility, but in exchange, only apple customer will be allowed to have the full functionality of your product. M&D: Where do I sign?

Pierre111No, the point is to be a good consumer and help others to get a good deal for their hard-earned money. I have enough money to buy this and lots more, but I was on a severe budget once, and I respect others who have to pinch their pennies.

dalethornYeah sorry I wasn't replying to your comment but about the general subject of not supporting Android, you just happened to be the last down the list, my bad.

Pierre111No problem - I understand Android to be only a partial spec, and manufacturers may have different or unexpected hardware that makes universal compatibility a problem. Apple has had plenty of issues themselves, so I would expect Android mfrs. to have a lot more. It might not be directly relevant here, but issues come up all the time.

Pierre111I bought my first pair from Best Buy, shortly after coming out. I paid 349.00 at the time. Paid 149.00 for my 2nd set from the M&D site, this past February..
