This MH40 is $199 at the Master & Dynamic website, without coupons or discount. NOT $400.

For what you get, 139$ is an insanely good price point. I'm genuinely surprised M&D let them go for this low, perhaps COVID-19 affects? Edit: These do not ship internationally?

Alright thanks. I think I'm gonna go for the 58X since people are saying you can run them without an amp and they sound pretty good. I wanted to get the 6XX's but I don't really want to invest another $200-300 bones for a DAC and AMP.

Sounds good. HD6XX will be a complete waste of time without the right equipment.

Not recommended if you have a larger head or ears. (Like.. above average, at all.) Literally returning these to M&D today because they don't work on my head at all. Edit: I will say they sound pretty nice and relaxed. Wouldn't pay more than this price for them, though.

I concur...the ear pads are too small and they don't extend down as much as I would like. This will stop me from buying the wireless models.

I think these guys are known for the MW60. Bring those and I'm in. I'd like to try wireless.

I own the MW60's and use it during my commute. They clamp on pretty well so it does a good job keeping the train noise out. It charges very fast and i use them in wired mode (paired with the Oppo HA-2) when i don't absolutely need BT. Doing that makes the battery last for about a week.

They are known for the MH40, their first model introduced two years ago in Apple retail stores among others. The MW60 was introduced at the end of last year.

I had these for a spell and ultimately upgraded to the Oppo PM-3s and gave the MH40s to my sister and her fiancee. While I prefer my PM-3s all around there are times that I really miss the look of the MH40. I have a shaved head and small ears, and yet these just didn't seal quite right on my noggin. Frankly, I felt these sounded about a hundred dollars less than they were priced. Still, the build quality and design is fantastic. They are very fun headphones.

The $100 discount on Master & Dynamic's own website is still in play as of today (May 8th, 2016). In addition, M&D offers free shipping (and even same day shipping, via courier, for those of us in certain NYC zip codes). This drop isn't quite worth the discount and wait time at the moment.

If you have Android devices stay far away !! This company is purposely blocking Android devices !! You can not use the controls and mic functions on this device.

Yeah sorry I wasn't replying to your comment but about the general subject of not supporting Android, you just happened to be the last down the list, my bad.

No problem - I understand Android to be only a partial spec, and manufacturers may have different or unexpected hardware that makes universal compatibility a problem. Apple has had plenty of issues themselves, so I would expect Android mfrs. to have a lot more. It might not be directly relevant here, but issues come up all the time.

If the Boom Mic was included in the price I would buy these, to bad they want $100 for it and also what is up with you picking an option and having to add at least $10 to it, no base model so basically if you did get them at the lowest price you still would have to pay $10 more. Not impressed, not impressed at all.
