how thick is the bottom?
btbtbtmaki1.5mm. For Mauviel pans you can tell the thickness by the model name. The 250 pans we will be dropping later in the month have a thickness of 2.5mm.

I have a Cooks Standard Multi-Ply Clad Stainless-Steel 1-1/2-Quart Covered Sauce Pan that I purchased from Amazon a few years ago and it is very well made. Cost me less than $30 shipped.

I just bought a similar size Calphalon (Select series) from my local Target for $31 (discounted from $40). The adhesive keeping the silicon handle bound has already melted on the inside. Sigh. You really get what you pay for on pots & pans. Is this Mauviel induction ready?

BackspinCopper is not suitable for induction cooktops, it's one of the reasons i'll likely stick with a gas range for many years to come.
You can get adapter plates, but that's an extra expense, and the Mauviel branded adapters are $100 a pop.

I own two products made by Mauviel and love both because they are so well made and a bargain for what you get. Better than anything I have used.....this is a super price for this saucepan. Great drop.
