Has anyone else bought a cable from one of these drops yet? I ordered one directly from the Mechcables website and within the first stretch the coil would not return to its original size and had all sorts of lumps and wonky bends. Also after maybe a week the usb c broke off. Unless I'm super alone in my experience these are really cheaply made and I wouldn't trust them.

MazeonI just waited 5 months for one I orderd on massdrop and its an absolutely garbage cable. Mine just shorts out randomly.

Which drop did you join that took 5 months? All of the ones we ran have had fulfillment periods of ~60 days and the ship dates have been accurate within ~1 week.

Mazeoni ordered the carbon mechcables cable off massdrop and it's been super solid and reliable. quality seems fine to me.

So not 5 months but also not 60 days. I ended up removing the usb C connector and cutting about a foot off the cable and soldered on one of my own usb c connectors. I didn't feel like waiting an eternity for a replacement cable and the thing works now after I fixed it.
