It's a pretty standard case and is nice, but I do prefer some of the fancier and more expensive ones with customizable foam inside. I personally think it's worth it to spend more on the nicer cases if you have a fancy board going in it, but for 65% pre-builds or cheaper customs, this is great and serves its purpose well.
I need a keyboard for work travel, and I have had trouble with damaged luggage. I still enjoy my pok3r and considered trying to get a used datamancer case. I ended up getting the Drop ALT Keyboard Soft Carry Case and this at the same time (due to a known upcoming trip and I needed to have a solution on-hand). I ended up putting my keyboard in the soft case and then the soft case in the Melgeek case. Fits snugly and I now have little concerns while traveling.
I love the color and bee logo. Inside the material is really soft and there's a mesh to store cables and whatnots, would recommend getting them to protect your keeb.
I also own the other “hard shell” case on drop by a company called YouMe so I’ll quickly compare this to that one. This is cheaper than the YouMe case, however it doesn’t look or feel anywhere near as cheep! This one is way better quality and looks way better too in my opinion. They probably both offer the same protection but the overall build is way better on this one than the one by YouMe.
The only reason I’m rating this 4/5 is that the Velcro straps inside could be better quality, however for this price point it’s not really an issue.
It's deep with a nice top pocket for accessories. Overall construction and zippers seem very good too. Internal design with velcro straps are good too.
I like it, not much padding but enough protection to prevent dings and scratches while storing your keyboard. case is big enough to even fit a smaller sized 75% keyboard.
