Hey, My mouse arrived last night.
I got a used / returned mouse.
This is when the problems began. I opened the box and noticed it looked like someone opened the package before as the cable was not in its proper routing spot in the packaging. This is no big deal; however, when I continued to open the package I started to notice some things that were off. Here are some of the things that I noticed... Lots of scratches on the bottom of the mouses feet from use, oil from hands and finally a bent track wheel. The track wheel does not stay at a 90 degree angle, in fact when you gently press it to the left, it sticks to the side at a 80 to 70 degree angle and rubs against the side of the mouse.
MassDrop help!! I just want a new mouse.
Update: Thanks for the support MassDrop, Henry is sending me out a replacement!!
Yep, I just took some pictures and looks like now I have a tracking number for a new mouse! I dont know how the mix up must have happened but, its okay.
Thanks Massdrop!
The cover picture for the Naos 7000 is wrong. The Naos 7000 does not have a DPI indicator by the thumb or lighting on the DPI switches. Those features are only on the Naos 8200.
Thanks again for joining this drop! With your help we were able to make it successful for the community. We've just submitted the group's order with the vendor for the Mionix Naos 7000 and they are working hard to prepare it for shipment.
As soon as the group's order is ready at the vendor's location, they will send the bulk shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey where our warehouse team will break it up into individual orders and ship them directly to you! The current estimated ship date from our warehouse is 9/15.
Rest assured that we we will provide you all with updated information regarding the status of your order throughout the process. You can expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 9/2.
KudecYeah, i don't wanna be ungrateful, i choose Massdrop because also with shipping and taxes i save like 10€. So thank you Massdrop :D
But, you know, maybe there's a chance, i'm just asking :)
did Mionix add extra LEDs to the Naos 7000 or is that main picture displaying a Naos 8200? cuz I don't think Naos 7000 have LEDs on the side and on the two buttons up top
FYI for any who may want one of these. Don't waste your money! No I'm not throwing my mice or using them as wheel chocks. I have mice that are literally knockoffs of knockoffs and yet they are better built than this. Hell I have mice I use daily that are almost old enough to legally drink.(Microsoft Trackball Explorer being the oldest.)
TLDR; Save your money and avoid the mistake I made. My mouse died due to poor QC and cheap parts and the "warranty" from Mionix assumes that you can even get a response from them.
Mionix support is utterly nonexistent at the best and a joke at the least.
IF you somehow manage to get a response from support on a mouse you buy from Massdrop you are likely to be told to talk to Massdrop.

Mionix refuses to cover issues that were caused BY them during manufacturing.
https://support.mionix.net/hc/en-us/articles/115004680726-What-does-the-warranty-cover-
What is not covered:
Defects caused by manufacturing.
The issues below are from Day 1 until Garbage day. This includes issues that happened after I gave up on Warranty support ever responding.
From the factory the cable was pinched in two locations and failed due to poor QC. The skates on the mouse are evidently made from the thinnest and softest PTFE possible and have the longevity to match. The mouse wheel (both the "rubber" on the wheel and the entire assembly overall) are made out of some of the cheapest materials I have seen in a LONG time. The vinyl decal on the inside of the wheel you have to block some of the bleed through from the RGB wasn't cut even close to the correct dimensions. The adhesive on the vinyl doesn't adhere to the "plastic" you used for the entire scroll wheel assembly. The "rubber" on the wheel is breaking down from normal use to the point that it scrolls independently of the wheel and even jams scrolling on occasion. The entire scroll wheel assembly is made from such cheap low quality plastic that it has no reinforcement and fails from normal use.
Mine is dead and dumped in the garbage since it appears that Mionix has no QC and handles warranty support by ignoring you in the hopes that you go away.
AdragontattooFWIW my Mionix Castor's (heavily used) middle mouse button died less than a year after purchase (which also happened to 2 logitech g300s before that). I can't say anything about their warranty service, didn't bother trying.
AdragontattooYou had the same experience as I did. Mionix customer support is utter trash and never to be trusted. Two keyboards died and they offered me a mouse pad, lmao!
irateapplesame with me. I will be looking to return it though. The Avior is good but I want the ergonomics and support of the Naos, Ambidextrous mice don't give that.
ok adding insult to injury on my 7000 not only does the left button feel like it has a loose switch and sound/feel weird the thumb buttons are getting stuck.
the mosue feels like it was poorly built compared to my 8200, very disappointed here
SpacePotatoBearyou caught an unlucky batch man; not sure how that kind of stuff gets through quality control but mine works perfect has no cosmetic issues either
"Get it Right"
"Leaving out the Lefties"
Um. You could just advertise this as an ergonomic right-handed mouse without making me feel bad about myself, thanks.

Really, the 3310 isn't a performance sensor? ADNS was acquired by PixArt, and the 3310 is now now manufactured as the pmw-3310. This sensor is used in top FPS gaming mice like the Steel Series Rival 300, and referred to by most enthusiasts as the best accurate optical sensor for fps gaming.
sorry, but roccat coating wouldn't last for 1 month after heavy usage. logitech is still using their ancient mouse wheel tech since early 2000s and their shitty small mouse feets. razer DA however is better but i hate their small mousefeets for such a big mouse. give credits where its due, mionix software needs a big overhaul. and if you're still arguing about balance, you can look at Castor instead of Naos.
