In the SPEC table, that is included in your message to me, the resolution and frame rate are specified as:
However, after receiving the camera I discovered, from the packaging, that the frame rate is actually:
This is, clearly, NOT AS ADVERTISED... I purchased the Monster Vision™ Insight Focus Premium 4K UHD Webcam from Drop because you said that the frame rate/resolution was 60 fps at 3084 x 2160 (4K) (sic), but the camera, according to Monster®, has a frame rate of 30fps at 3840 x 2160p.I hope that this gets a more focused response. That is, I hope that the representative is explicit in explaining why the differences above do not constitute 'not-as-advertised'. Have you (or anyone else) tried to get a refund? I'll post back on progress. = s.west
- Monster
- Resolution: 3084 x 2160 (4K)
- Camera detail: 12 MP
- Frame rate: 60 fps
- ...
This was one of the main selling points for me, and the reason I bought the thing in the first place. Unfortunately, it is not until you have the box in hand that you discover, according to Monster®, the frame rate is in fact:- 30FPS @ 4K Ultra HD (up to 3840 x 2160p)
- 60/30FPS @ 1080p Full HD (up to 1920 x 1080p)
(Monster® is careful in other places on the box to specify "up to 60FPS", unfortunately, Drop was not so careful) For this reason alone, I want to return the webcam to Drop. In addition to this I would echo the quality comments left by others. My Logitech c922 Pro webcam produces a far better image. So... how do I return this for a refund? = s.west
