Long term review- The pen works flawlessly although the converter is a bit too loose and tends to fall off while refilling. The ink was surprisingly good and has ended up replacing my Pelikan red ink. Really hoping for an encore of this bundle... what are the odds of that happening?

Okay, got mine at last! The gunmetal finish is extremely shiny and attractive. The size is pretty nice, being slightly shorter than a Lamy Studio when posted. It certainly is a fingerprint magnet, but it wipes clean fairly easily. Unfortunately, I am not as pleased with the ink bottle which was a mess of leaking ink within its zip lock bag. Anyway, I bought it for the pen, and that is a hit with me!

this pen may be called Impressa but I'm not impressed. first the bottle of ink leaked in transit, second the paint on the pen has several defects, third the writing impressions I have so far tell me this may end up being relegated to a drawer and never used.

No worries, I will be keeping the pen it is not perfect but it wasn't soo expensive that I'm interested in getting a return and as for the ink issue the majority of the ink did not get wasted. I mostly wanted to inform you guys over at Massdrop of the issues.

Alright, I really wish this were a good comment. The pen itself is fine, and I like writing with it so far (though I have only used it for a few words so far). What is absolutely not OK, my package arrived SOAKED in ink. I nearly ruined by clothes as I opened the box, and my desk now has a few permanent black stains. My hands are COVERED in ink and about 1/3 to 1/4 of the ink from the bottle is gone. Attaching pics. I don't know what to say, this was my first Massdrop purchase, it was delayed (which is ok, I am not royalty) and then doused with ink upon opening the package. Has not really been a great experience. An update for the group, the first batch of the Monteverde Impressa Fountain Pen Bundle has been shipped from our warehouse. The second batch will be shipped out at latest by Tuesday.

Great news group! The vendor has let us know that the group's order was picked up and is on its way to our warehouse now. Based on the tracking provided these are scheduled to come in 4/9. Our warehouse team has been forwarded tracking info and will be standing by, ready to get these packed up and turned around as soon as they come in.
Sometimes shipments get delayed en route, not to worry as we will keep the group posted throughout the process and notify you all if anything causes delay.

Sooo.... crickets on the important questions... this is my first time using Massdrop, and so far not so impressed. Vague details, some sort of nebulous "Vendor dispute" and then telling people that the first part of the shipment is here without telling people what that means. May as well have said nothing.

Errolord_404I mean...this IS the internet. If you can't be a little abrasive here, then what has the world come to? Seriously, though - I'm grateful for and impressed by the overwhelmingly positive, objective, informative nature of discussions here, not to mention understanding and patience for delays.
I didn't find that abrasive at all, just helpful comments that inform our process and help us to get better. We may not always be perfect, but we do try to learn from our mistakes and improve.
If members didn't take the time to let us know, then we wouldn't have that opportunity. So thanks! Please continue to flag an issues that need our attention, we appreciate your candor.
