Honestly no complaints from me, these switches feel great to type on. No scratchiness from my set of switches (Linear Lunalight), and really the only thing I lubed this time around were the springs.
Smooth and Durable Mechanical Switches for Enthusiasts
The Moondrop x G-Square Mechanical Switches are an exciting addition to the keyboard scene, offering both tactile (Tessence) and linear (Lunalight) options. Built with high-quality nylon housings and POM stems, these switches are durable and provide a smooth typing experience. The tactile switches have a pronounced, long bump, while the linear ones offer a lighter, faster feel. Both switches boast impressive durability with an 80 million keystroke lifespan, making them a solid choice for keyboard enthusiasts looking for performance and longevity.
Put together my first mechanical keyboard and couldn't be happier with the results. My only tip is to be careful when you put the switches into the keyboard--I must have not been careful enough and bent some of the metal prongs while inserting them.
The switches sound good both before and after lube. They sounds great and where super easy to install. If you plan on lubing your switches these are a great choice as they do not have the smoothest typing experience right out of the box. The only other problem I have with them is that they come in batches of 35. I was building a TKL board which meant I had to buy 3 batches of them. With all of the other boards I have build I usualy only needed to purchase 2. Overall a great switch.
Been having other switches in the market, these linear and tactile switches are above the average in terms of comfort and sound. Moondrop is well known in the audiophile community because of their IEMs and headphones, so it's not suprise that these 5-pin switches will sound great (even withouth manual lubbing). Only thing I don't like (being picky) is that you can't buy a larger pack with more switches and the waifu inclided is just a paper. Anyway, I strongly recommend these switches to anyone looking for easy-to-press switches and good sound out of the box.
My favorite is still Boba U4T, but these Tactile Tessence are nice. The tactile bump seems a little softer but longer. They sound a little deeper than U4T on my BFO-9000.
Out of the box both the Lunalight & Tessence have very little if any wobble in the casing and feel really smooth off rip so the need to mod/film seems negligible. The Lunalight feel very nice, smooth and creamy. I paired them with the barebones Weebkeys board available on this site on the bounce/flexy nature of this bored with these switches perfectly.
