Could we please have less knives, and more actually useful real ultralite hiking & camping gear? What has happened to Drop? Knife after knife after knife after knife after knife - one is quite enough thanks, and they don't even ship internationally. Can we please return to gear that is actually relevant to ultralite? Zpacks, HMG, MLD, Evernew, ... Packs, stoves, quilts, headlamps, parkas, ...
MoronismurfThey may be cheap, but Mora makes one hell of a knife. Plus if you lose one, you're not out a large amount of money.
Let me know where I can get these for $5...
If you want a really good Mora get the companion. The length is a little longer but is more versatile compared to this one. It's a few dollars more but the difference is night and day. Trust me...the basic will leave you wanting for the extra reach the companion has, especially for any type of food prep.
CracktowerAgree 100%. Or if you like the blade length in this knife, look at the Mora Craftline knives. The real problem with the basic, unlike every other Mora you can buy for a few bucks more, is the handle feels terrible. Mora makes a bunch of inexpensive knives but the Basic actually feels cheap.
Sometimes you can find the Companion for about ten bucks. Last year, Woot was selling Craftline with regular or chisel blades for five. The Basic knives are not really a deal at any price IMO.
I paid into this drop and now find the knife is $9.39 at Wal-Mart.
I am not pleased. The initial MD marketing strategy seems to have changed, forcing the consumer to shop around for an equal or better price.
I will be unsubscribing from M.D..
I have a Mora and I like it. This is a good price. Therefore, I have taken the plunger. No, wait. My toilet is fine. I meant the plunge. For $10 a knife, that's gifting territory.
I've been eyeing this up for a while on multiple sites. Under $20 for 2 of them, yeah, I'm in. One for the truck and one for a gift, how can you go wrong.
