Interstellar13I believe a lot of people hold this same sentiment because the RTX series isn't as good compared to the 10 series, as the 10 series was to the 9 series. But good here is obviously subjective, as the RTX cards are very powerful. The problem, in my opinion, that people have with the RTX (especially the 2080 and it's ridiculously high 900 dollar average asking price) is the fact that it isn't much better than the 1080ti. It's still a powerful card, nonetheless.
Coastiekidthe rtx 2080 is still allot better than the gtx 1080ti. look up a video on a gtx 1080ti vs rtx 2080 the 2080 has the same frame rate as the 1080ti but one thing most people forget to look at is the resolution it is running at as most videos show the 2080 in 4k and the 1080ti in 1080p
lewiswalshI do understand that the 2080 is a strong card, and it's definitely better than the 1080ti. The point I was making was that the RTX 20 series of cards is not as much of a jump in performance from the 10 series as the 10 series was from the 9 series. I think people need to wait for RTX to be more widely used for the price to be viable. And this is of course just my opinion, I'm not an expert by any means.
