So I didn't buy this light for myself. This was a gift for my better half who works as a Vet Tech. Her job is the equivalent to a Nurse in human medicine. She loves this light for her room examinations. It's not overly bright, and uses a very natural looking light that won't color shift her patient during examination. She works the grave yard shift, and she uses this light for performing equipment checks at night. The particular loved the pocket clip to. She even uses the scale drawn on the side of the light during exams. If you're looking for a solid medical light this is a great option.
Excellent use for anesthesia providers. From assessing airways to checking patients under the drapes. Been using it for only a month. Durable, so far. I carry it in my scrub shirt pocket daily at work and the clip has been tight to this point.
Overall a great flashlight - reliable (unlike the standard penlights for medical professionals) with better color representation than in most lights as well, and generally well-built with a functional pocket clip and a handy (cm) ruler on one side that I've used for clinical images. At first I wasn't sure how I felt about the sharp borders of the light it casts (where there is also a change in coloration) but have ended up feeling more positively about it over time. My only request would be to make the clip more sturdy - I alternate between keeping it in a shirt pocket and a pants pocket for ease of access (which is easier to get to when wearing contact precaution gowns), and the wire clip has occasionally gotten snagged on something and as a result been bent out of shape; thus far I have always been able to bend the clip back but worry it will break off and lose part of its functionality. Nonetheless, a very handy / functional light, and would buy again!
Handy little light. Very sharp cutoff. Nice color temp. The lumen number is somewhat deceptive as it's much brighter than I expected. It's certainly much brighter than a typical doctors penlight.
