Awesomely tough light. It has been an everyday carry now for about a year now. Only complaint is the flimsy clip. Ripped it off while walking around a sofa but it rides strong in my pocket and that says a lot for the build quality.
For those times you just need a quick, handy light source with no frills, no special features, no tactical abilities then this penlight is the tool for you. It provides easy to manipulate light when you're simply looking for something you dropped under the bed; or navigate through all the junk in your glove compartment in the middle of the night.
Being like a pen means its storage and carry is simple too. I've discovered it can be clipped to a ball cap; attached to my dog tags leather string to hang around the neck for a 'hands-free' downlight and tucks away neatly in almost every pocket in a bloke's pants apart from the obvious shirt or jacket pocket. I was surprised by the brightness and even coverage of this model; much more light than I expected for the price. It's not rocket science just a reliable, simple way to light your way. I'll get a couple more the next drop just to keep in the truck and my EDC bag. Cheers, B.H. Hobart TAS
It is a very nice and handy flashlight. Bright for its size and small in diameter. It is long in length though so it does not really work in the shirt pocket. I keep it in my front pocket with the clip holding it. Not obtrusive but would be better if it worked in shirt. Perhaps moving the clip down would help. While I understand the switch, the way that it steps through the levels of brightness can be aggravating. Wish there were a way to lock it in one level. I often pick it up for a quick look and don't count the seconds so that it will stay there for the next time. Other than that, glad I bought it.
unexpectedly useful, this thing seriously lasts forever. I originally just bought it to use for work so it was always in my work pants' pocket, but in the middle of the night i find myself going to my closet to take this thing out so I can get a drink, check the doors, walk the dog, etc.. if i'm in sweatpants without pockets (or anything without pockets rather), I just clip this onto the belt band or watever.. this torch is used every single day multiple times a day and I have yet to see its power die given that it's just running on 2 AAA batteries, been about 5 months. I absolutely love the 4 light settings..
Easy to turn on by accident when clipped to pants pocket. Constantly changing batteries. As it uses them up pretty fast. Batteries leaked . However still works. Woundnt recommend.
Battery life is very low — I EDC'd this for about a year because of its form factor but rarely found the occasion to use it, and even then only very briefly. Despite this, when I did want to use it, I quite often found the batteries to be dead already. I don't know if the switch just got bumped a lot in my pocket or if there's a slow drain even when not in use — either way I'd say there's a design flaw somewhere, one that ultimately rendered this otherwise wonderful little flashlight more trouble than it was worth for me.
The product itself is everything you'd expect from a Nextorch penlight. The weight and size are great but I didn't like the clip as it would constantly fall out of my scrub top pocket.
I am a flashlight junkie. Meaning, I got a lot of them. But not all of them I consider really good. This one I especially find to be excellent! It is easy to handle, easy to operate, brightness levels are spot on, especially for its compactness. It is very easy to stow, carry, and made ready for use, whether it in a breast pocket of a button down shirt (similar in fashion as a pen would be carried), or inside the folds of a daypack. I’m glad I made decision to get this torch.
